(May City, Iowa) — A Milford man accused of breaking into a farm residence near May City has been released from custody as the case moves forward.
Court records show 35-year-old Chase Hagedorn posted a $5,000 surety bond on February 2nd through a bail bondsman. He had been held in the Osceola County Jail following his arrest late last month.
Hagedorn faces a Class D Felony charge of Third-Degree Burglary and an Aggravated Misdemeanor for Driving While Barred. The charges stem from an incident where a deputy, who had placed surveillance cameras at a May City farm due to prior thefts, allegedly caught Hagedorn on video. The criminal complaint states Hagedorn was seen with a roll of aluminum and that footprints in the snow matched his boots. Both doors to the residence were found kicked in.
Hagedorn is now scheduled for a preliminary hearing at the Osceola County Courthouse on February 19th at 2:
