Milford, IA (KICD) — Okoboji has joined several other area school districts in having a uniformed policeman present during classes and some activities.

Superintendent Todd Abrahamson says Officer Verner will have an office at the high school but make the rounds at all three buildings.

The school district is paying 70 percent of the Resource Officer’s salary, but Verner will also be available to the rest of the community as needed.
