Spencer, IA (KICD)– The Iowa Lakes Community College Aviation Program, which has seen some big growth in recent years, has plans in place to expand to the Spencer Airport.

Chief Flight Instructor Tim Busch tells KICD News the new space will not only help house the program that has nearly tripled in size over the last four years, but also provide some new opportunities for learning.

Busch says many of the advancements that will be utilized by ILCC are in place in Spencer because of the facility’s past.

The additional office space in Spencer is nothing more than an expansion and will not be taking anything away from airport in Estherville. Classes at the satellite facility are expected to start next August.
