SPIRIT LAKE, IA (Northwestiowanow) — A search warrant executed Thursday morning in Spirit Lake led to the arrest of two men on multiple drug-related charges.

According to the Spirit Lake Police Department, officers conducted the warrant around 8 a.m. on February 26 at a residence located at 912 10th Street. The operation resulted in the arrests of 37-year-old Jason Burton and 39-year-old Charles Leissler, both of Spirit Lake.

Police say both men were charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, a Class C felony; Possession with Intent to Deliver Ecstasy, also a Class C felony; and Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, a Class D felony.

They were additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs and Person Ineligible to Carry Dangerous Weapons, both serious misdemeanors, along with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
