Spirit Lake, IA (KICD) — The Iowa Realtors Association said the state bucked the nationwide trend of availability in August, with 3,927 homes on the market, down just TWO from August of last year.
The Iowa Great Lakes Board of Realtors has released stats for the month of August:
In Dickinson County there were 54 home sales, nearly the same as last August when 58 homes closed. The average price was 547 thousand dollars, up from 491 thousand dollars a year ago. Total residential sales for the month were 29.55 million, up from 28.46 million in August of 2022.
In Clay County there were 21 home sales reported by the MLS, down 9 from August of 2022. The average price was 188 thousand dollars, up from 165 thousand in August of 2022. Total residential sales for the month were 3.94 million dollars down 1 million from August of 2022.
