Des Moines, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Representative Megan Jones of House (District 6) gave KICD News an update with just over a week left in the Legislative session. Jones transitioned to chairing the House Transportation Committee this year, and in she talks about the Fleet Plate bill.

Property Tax is still the main topic in both the House and Senate, and Jones noted that constituents are closely monitoring their expenses.

The Senate’s effort to include fuel tax increases into the property tax bill was interesting, she says.

She was disappointed a car safety bill she introduced to increase the age for backward-facing car seats fell short, but she will try again next session.
