Spencer, IA (KICD)– Leadership from Iowa State University was in Spencer earlier this week to tour the progress of the new Clay County Extension and Outreach Office.

President Wendy Wintersteen tells KICD News the new structure going up on the west side of town will help the local extension office continue to serve that mission that is set forth from the main campus in Ames.

Also on the trip was newly hired Vice President of Extension and Outreach Jason Henderson. He says the new building in Spencer will help the overall program continue to thrive in the digital age.

Clay County Extension and Outreach is planning to be fully moved into their home on West 18th Street next to Northwest Bank’s Corporate Headquarters early next year.
