Primghar, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — A Paullina man is back in custody as his legal troubles continue to grow in O’Brien County.

Marc Daniel Gibbons, 37,was arrested Tuesday on warrants related to an incident back in mid-January. Sheldon Police say Gibbons took a 2012 Buick Enclave without permission and left it abandoned on North Fourth Avenue with significant damage to the driver’s door. He now faces new charges of Operating a Vehicle Without Consent and Second-Degree Criminal Mischief.

This latest arrest adds to an already heavy court docket for Gibbons. He was already awaiting trial for an August 2025 arrest involving charges of Third-Offense Drug Possession, O-W-I Second, and Interference with Official Acts causing bodily injury.

Court records show a preliminary hearing for the new vehicle charges is set for next Friday, April 24th. Meanwhile, his jury trial for the previous drug and O-W-I charges is currently scheduled to begin in June.
