Sioux City, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A few weeks earlier you would think this is an April Fool’s Joke … but it has been revealed that two-time World Heavyweight Boxing champion George Foreman has been buried in Northwest Iowa.

His children say that while he was born and died in Texas, Foreman frequently mentioned the warm reception he received visiting the Loess Hills region in the 1980s.  The champ was buried quietly in Sioux City April 17th of 2025, and his family unveiled his headstone in the Logan Park Cemetery April 17th of 2026.
