Storm Lake, IA (KICD) — Storm Lake police have charged four individuals after an assault in the parking lot of a convenience store on Sunday afternoon. Store surveillance shows two vehicles boxed in the victim’s car so he couldn’t leave, and then several subjects entered his car and struck him with their fists. They fled when the victim backed his car into the vehicle that was blocking him from the rear.
21-year-old Gabriel Catarino-Rodriguez, 21-year-old June Phiengsai, and 20-year-old Tailor Khamtanh were charged with 2nd degree burglary, rioting, simple assault, and assault while participating in a felony. 19-year-old Briana Chea was charged with aiding and abetting.
The investigation continues and more arrests are possible.
