Clive, IA (KICD)– Dr. Stacey Cole, the leader of the Storm Lake Community School District, is being recognized for her work by being named the Superintendent of the Year by the School Administrators of Iowa.

SAI Executive Director Dr. Lisa Remy (Ramy) tells KICD News it is not difficult to give someone who shows commitment to the school and students like Cole does such an honor.

Dr. Remy says the process to name a Superintendent of the Year is not exactly a short process that truly involves each winner being named by a group of their peers.

Cole has been the Superintendent in Storm Lake since 2018 after serving as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment for Fort Dodge Community Schools and a special education teacher at Schaller-Crestland.
