Spencer, IA (KICD)– The harvest season is well underway, but it is never too late to talk safety and precautions whether on the roads or in the field.
Laura Manwarren is the Safety Director for Spencer Hospital. She says the first place we all need to be paying attention this time of year is on area roadways as farm equipment is being moved from one location to another.
And once in the field, there are some safety aspects that need to be remembered.
Accidents at home can also be a problem when it comes to grain bins and augers, but Manwarren also notes stress can cause other problems and that it is always okay to ask for help whether it be from a family member or a professional.
