Milford, IA (KICD)— The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is investigating after one person was hurt in the Northwest Iowa hunting incident Saturday morning.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office originally received a report of a person suffering from a gunshot injury at the Spring Run Wildlife Management Area just east of Lower Gar Lake around 8:15.
The victim, who has not been identified, was located in the Wildlife Management Area and airlifted to Avera Medical Center in Sioux Falls where their condition is not known.
The Iowa DNR, Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Milford Police Department, firefighters from Milford and Arnolds Park/Okoboji and Lakes Regional Healthcare all responded to the initial call.
