Lakefield, MN (KICD)– A Lakefield woman was seriously hurt in a crash Thursday morning in Jackson County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened around 6:30 on Highway 86 about a mile north of the Iowa border when an SUV appears to have rear ended southbound semi that was stopped for another vehicle.

The SUV’s driver, 54-year-old Heather Croatt was taken to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake with what are considered to be life-threatening injuries. The semi driver was not hurt.
