Spencer, IA (KICD)– A pair of long-time Spencer supporters are working to raise money in order to identify unmarked graves at Riverside Cemetery.

Mike Harleman and Bob Rose are specifically looking at an area known as Potter’s Field that is located in the area of the cemetery’s maintenance shed.

Harleman says there are nearly two dozen people buried in such an area in Spencer with internment dates ranging from 1922 to 1954 and there are hopes that a marker can be placed in their memory.
