Ruthven, IA (KICD)– A Ruthven woman is facing multiple drug related charges following a package investigation Monday morning.

Palo Alto County Sheriff John King tells KICD News, deputies were called to the Ruthven Post Office around 8:45 to a report of a suspicious package that was later reportedly found to contain narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

As a result, 34-year-old Cora Cowen was charged with conspiracy to deliver marijuana, failure to affix a drug tax stamp and possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia before being booked into jail to await her initial court appearance.
