Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– A Storm Lake man has been charged after police were orginally called for trespassing.

The Storm Lake Police Department sent officers to the CN railroad property on Otsego Street around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon where where 40-year-old Quincy Malakai reportedly took off on foot before later being apprehended in the 100 block of West Railroad Street.

While being booked into jail, Malakai reportedly attempted to hit an officer with his knee while also giving verbal death threats. He was ultimately charged with assault on a peace officer, first degree harassment, interfence with official acts and trespassing.
