Spencer, IA (KICD)– It has been an odd late Fall and early Winter season in many parts of the Upper Midwest and that can be proven by looking at some of the record books.
Dennis Todey is the Director of USDA Midwest Climate Hub in Ames. He tells KICD News the temperatures for the first half of this month may actually enter the record books.
Todey adds that the chances for a White Christmas also continue to diminish.
Temperatures are also looking to stay in the 40s and even approach 50 degrees as we get closer to Christmas with extended outlooks hinting at a continued above normal pattern as we reach the end of 2023.
