Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– Additional charges have been filed in relation to a Storm Lake assault investigation.

Police were originally called to an apartment building on East Milwaukee Avenue on the morning of December 10th were a victim told officers he had been approached by five men in the parking lot before reportedly being attacked resulting in serious injuries.

One of the suspects, 19-year-old Arun Keyanye was taken into custody at the scene with arrest warrants being issued for 32-year-old Faheem Boutte and 22-year-old Jamuo Gatwech.

The Storm Lake Police Department have since arrested 23-year-old Chuol Gatluak and 20-year-old Odoll Agowa All five suspects have been charged with assault while participating in a felony and rioting.

Boutte was additionally charged with carrying a weapon as a felon and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver which stems from the alleged discovery of more than two pounds of the drug during a search after two individuals were seen removing items from an apartment connected to the original investigation. 28-year-old Aihlee Boutte and 27-year-old Tiffany Pinneke, both of Cherokee, were also charged following that search with possessing a firearm as a felon.
