Spencer, IA (KICD) — The President of Fridley Movie Theatres says Spencer bucked the national trend when it came to movie attendance again in 2023.

Russel Vannorsdel says the rest of the top ten were family movies too.

The top five box-office draws in the country were Barbie, Super Mario, Spider Man, Guardians, and Oppenheimer. Again the top five at South Park Seven – soon to be renamed “The Palms Theatre Southpark” were Super Mario, The Sound of Freedom, Barbie, Guardians, and Oppenheimer.
