The City of Estherville is going to the process of applying for a grant that could help improve its electrical system.

City Administrator Penny Clayton says if awarded the grant to move forward, local electric customers could benefit from some improved response times to unplanned outages.

The estimated cost to complete this project is between 39 and 43 thousand dollars.
