Spencer, IA (KICD)– The new session for the Iowa Legislature is less than a month old, but there are already a number of issues of working their way through the both the House and Senate.
Representative John Wills of Spirit Lake talked with KICD News following Saturday’s first Eggs and Issues Forum to touch on some of the work is trying to get through while including a bill that would ultimately provide child support for the mother of an unborn baby.
On the more relaxed side, Representative Wills says he is working on legislation that would name an official State Fish for Iowa which started with hearing from a local constituent.
Wills has announced his plans to run for another term in office when his current term expires later this year. He has collected the required number of signatures needed to have his name on the ballot for the June Primary and if successful there, the General Election in November.
