Spencer, IA (KICD) — A 20-year-old Spencer man eluded Spencer Police Tuesday night and was located a short time later by a Clay County Deputy after going into the ditch.
Authorities attempted to stop Adrian Frakes for a traffic violation in the 900 block of East 12th Street around 9:30. He took off in his 2004 Pontiac, turning off his headlights, and reaching speeds near 100 miles per hour.
The vehicle was located upside down in a ditch in the 31 hundred blocks of 230th Avenue. Frakes was located a short distance away and was arrested without further incident.
Charges include possession of marijuana, eluding law enforcement, driving under suspension, and multiple traffic violations.
