Orange City IA, (KICD) –Last week MOC-Floyd Valley High School assistant principal Grant Hegstad was surprised with the Milken Educator Award and 25,000 dollars in front of a packed gym.
Described as an Oscar for teaching, the award is given to up to 75 participants across the country.

The Milken educator award has been presented by the Milken Family Foundation since 1987, Hegstad is MOC Floyd Valleys first recipient since 2003.
