Mower County, MN (KICD)– Wintry road conditions are being blamed for a crash in Southeast Minnesota early Wednesday morning that sent three Northwest Iowans to the hospital.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened shortly after two o’clock when a van eastbound on Interstate 90 in Mower County went out of control and rolled.
Three passengers in the van all from Sibley ranging in age from 32 to 45 were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. The driver, 43-year-old Esteban Gomez, also of Sibley, was not hurt.
The crash reports notes it is currently unknown whether any of the injured were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
