Spencer, IA (KICD)– The planning phase for what could potentially be a large project to move the City of Spencer’s campground, upgrade the existing Aquatic Center and bring a splash pad to town looks to be moving forward.
Parks and Recreation Director Bob Fullhart tells KICD News the process right now involves working to update plans based on public input while also making final decisions on exactly where splash pad will be placed.
It is yet to be determined exactly how much this project could cost or even if everything will be done at once, but Fullhart says it is likely at this point that a bond issue will be needed to do the final work.
Also happening in the recent past was an upgrade to the software used for online sales through the parks and golf course departments of the City of Spencer.
Fullhart says he is hoping to continue adding more features to this system as time goes on.
