Spencer, IA (KICD)– The Spencer City Council met in a visioning session Monday night to set four concrete goals for the future.
Story City Administrator Mark Jackson facilitated the discussion and says a timeline for replacing or renovating city-owned buildings was number one on the list.
Jackson finds it interesting that Spencer’s elected officials and paid staff seem to be pulling in the same direction.
Other top priorities are getting lots in the North Y development sold; getting the aquatic center / splashpad / campground project done by the end of 2026; and having a specific plan for developing 100 acres of city-owned property on the West side of town.
