Okoboji, IA (KICD)– Mild winter weather is good for some, but not so good for tourism in the Iowa Great Lakes. Tourism Director Rebecca Peters says 4th quarter numbers are in.

The only real winter blast was well-timed, arriving just in time to freeze the lakes for Winter Games.

The Okoboji Tourism office marketed the area during the recent Boys and Girls basketball tournaments. Peters says they’ll track where visitors come from this summer to see how it worked.
