Spencer, IA (KICD) — Department heads gave their monthly reports to the Spencer City Council Monday night. Library Director Sarah Beth Fuchsen said the new outdoor music garden funded with a grant won’t quite be ready for the kickoff to the summer reading program as hoped.

Police Chief Mark Warburton ran down the numbers for March.

 

And Fire Chief Jesse Coulson had his department’s stats.

Coulson said recruitment efforts seem to be working with four EMT candidates completing their classroom work; two new firefighters joining the force, and two more interviewing this week.
