Laurens, IA (KICD)– Charges have been filed following a weekend investigation into a missing child.

The Laurens Police Department received a report around ten o’clock Friday evening that a four-year-old child had gone missing after last being seen in the yard at home.

The investigation determined Karson Soumwei was the alleged culprit which led to third degree kidnapping charges being filed. The child was later safely located at a local park.
