Sioux Falls, SD (KICD)– A Jackson child has died after falling out of a hotel window in Sioux Falls over the weekend.

According to police, the one and a half year old was staying with his parents at the Club House Hotel and Suites Saturday morning when he fell from a third story window.

Emergency efforts were performed on scene before the child was taken to a local hospital, where according to his mother, he has since died from his injuries.

Police continue to investigate how the fall occurred.
