Sibley, Ia (KICD) – Sibley-Ocheyedan hosted their Coed Invite on Monday. Here are top KICD area finishers.
In the Girls 100m Dash, Okoboji’s Miley Wells won with a time of 12.87 seconds.
Laney Wolfswinkel of Cherokee won the Girls 200m Dash with a time of 27.49 seconds. Cherokee’s Jon Jenness won the Boys race with a time of 22.77.
Sheldon’s Isaac Wenthe won the Boys 400m Dash with a time of 50.72 seconds.
David Poppen of Sibley-Ocheyedan won the Boys 800m Run with a time of 2:06.02.
Sibley-Ocheyedan’s Ben Byers won the 1600m run with a time of 4:32.12.
Cherokee’s Stefi Beisswenger won the Girls 3000m Run with a time of 12:12.03. Sheldon’s Caleb Huff won the 3200m run for the Boys with a time of 10:34.61.
Drew Sandven of Okoboji won the Boys 400m Dash with a time of 55.73 seconds.
The Cherokee team of Maves, Timmerman, Pigott, and Mortenson won the Girls 4x100m Relay with a time of 52.03 seconds. The Cherokee Boys also won the 4x100m Relay with a team of Lovell, Paulsrud, Johnson, and Jenness clocking 44.58 seconds.
The Okoboji Girls team of Avery, DeVos, Wells, and Allen took the 4x200m Relay with a time of 1:49.84.
The Okoboji Boys team of Osler, Heimdal, Heller, and Jacobsen won the 4x400m Relay with a time of 3:30.92.
In the Boys 4x800m Relay, Sibley-Ocheyedan won with a team of Kreykes, Poppen, Reiter, and Beyers, ticking 8:33.61.
The Okoboji Boys Sprint Medley Relay team of Mulhern, Netsch, Jutting, and Heimdal won with a time of 1:37.71.
The Pioneers would also take the Boys Distance Medley Gold with a team of Franklin, Baschke, Jostand, and Larson running 3:53.58.
The Cherokee 4x110m Shuttle Hurdle Relay team of Pingel, Schossow, Johnson, and Mahnke ran a time of 1:03.71 to win.
Jon Jenness of Cherokee took 1st with a time of 5’10” in the Boys High Jump.
Sheldon’s Isaac Wenthe was 1st in the Boys long jump with a leap of 21’11.25”.
Blake Lovell of Cherokee won the Boys Shot Put with a throw of 47’8”.
Logan Thorson of Cherokee won the Boys Discus Throw with a toss of 138’2”.
West Lyon won the Girls team title with 152 points. Cherokee was 2nd at 118, Okoboji 6th with 50 and Sibley-Ocheyedan was 7th at 6.
Okoboji won the Boys team title with116 with Cherokee taking 2nd at 11.5, Sheldon 3rd with 99, and Sibley-Ocheyedan 4th at 89.
