Worthington, MN (Northwestiowanow.com) — A Sheldon woman was transported to the hospital in Worthington with non-life-threatening injuries after an accident in rural Nobles County Friday evening.

The Minnesota State Patrol accident report indicates 29-year-old Kate Broersma was Northbound on Highway 59 about two and a half miles North of the Interstate, and collided with a Chevy Malibu, operated by 17-year-old Miley Briscoe of Heron Lake, Minnesota, that had stopped on 220th Street.

Briscoe was also transported to Worthington Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Department, Worthington Police Department, and Brewster Fire Department.
The accident ocurred around 5:17pm.
