Spirit Lake, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Spirit Lake Police have filed multiple charges again a man previously arrested for drug crimes in O’Brien and Sioux Counties.
Authorities say they served a search warrant at 512 18th Street – which is also Highway 71 in Spirit Lake – shortly before 7:30 Thursday morning.
They say 53 year old Nathan Egdorf refused to answer the door so they had to kick it in; then had to make forcible entry to the home’s bathroom where they found him attempting to flush evidence down the toilet.
He has been charged with the manufacturer, possession, and intent to deliver both cocaine and methamphetamine; posession of hydrocodone after being previously convicted of drug-related offenses; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Egdorf was also charged with interference with official acts causing injury after one police officer injured his arm and another injured his ankle making entry to the locked home.
Bond was set at $75,300 and at last check Egdorf was being held at the Dickinson County jail.
