Estherville, IA — An earlier arrest has led to multiple charges, including a felony drug charge, against an Estherville woman.

According to a criminal complaint filed by the Estherville Police Department, officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of North 3rd Street on Saturday, July 18. The response followed a report from a property owner who indicated someone was on the property after being informed by text message that they were not allowed to be there.

Authorities located and arrested 45-year-old Amber Diane Movick in connection with the incident. Police allege Movick was in possession of three small plastic baggies and a small plastic container containing a white crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Officers further allege she was in possession of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.

Court records show Movick has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, a Class D felony; possession of marijuana, third or subsequent offense, an aggravated misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia; and first-offense trespass.

Movick is scheduled to make an initial appearance in Emmet County District Court on August 10th.
