Graettinger, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Graettinger-Terril and Ruthven-Ayreshire school districts have announced an interim Superintendent. Marshall Lewis was placed on administrative leave July 16th as an independent auditor reviews financial matters apparently dealing with transfers between the two districts.
A joint statement says Jeff Dicks has accepted the position. He retired as Superintendent of Newell-Fonda in 2024 and then served as Interim Superintendent for Estherville Lincoln Central. Both boards must formally approve the hiring to make it official. Graettinger Terril school board president Kevin Jensen says Dicks’ wealth of experience as a long-term superintendent makes him the right fit to lead both districts through what he calls “this transitional period.” Ruthven-Ayrshire school board president Jill Conlon says Dicks has a track record of success and can provide the best possible environment for students and staff at both districts.
