Spencer, IA (KICD) — Multiple authorities and rescue workers were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision in rural Clay County Wednesday morning.

The Iowa State Patrol says 43-year-old Timothy Curry of Everly was Northbound on 230th Avenue two miles North of Spencer when he failed to yield to 32-year-old Benjamin Thompson of Spencer, who was Eastbound on the paved 300th Street. Curry was airlifted to Avera Sioux Falls.

Thompson does not appear to have required medical attention.
