Graettinger, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – We continue our series on the Best Teams of the KICD 9-County Area in the 2025-2026 season with a look at Girls Wrestling.

GTRA/ELC had put together some really nice seasons in Iowa’s first few years of sanctioned Girls wrestling. The Titans had a great group coming back for the 2025-2026 season with some high expectations.

GTRA/ELC opened up the year with the Western Christian Invite. Terra Swedin took 3rd in the 110lb weight class and Trista Guinn took gold at 115. Myla Fisher also finished first in the 120lb division. Addaley Girres picked up a silver at 130 with Isabelle Harris finishing 1st in the 140lb weight class. In the team scores, the Titans finished 2nd with 181 points behind 1st place Hinton/Sergeant Bluff-Luton.

Next up was the Lady E-Hawk Tournament. Katherine Scott was 3rd at 105 for GTRA/ELC. Terra Swedin was 1st at 110. It was Trista Guinn taking 1st in the 115lb class and Myla Fisher was 2nd at 120. Bonita Jordan was 3rd in 125. Addaley Girres finished 2nd in the 130lb weight class. Isabelle Harris would take 2nd at 140, and Harper Manwarren finished 2nd in the 170lb weight class. The Titans took 2nd as a team, finishing behind Central Lyon/George-Little Rock.

GTRA/ELC would go to Fort Dodge for the Triton Clash Dual Tournament. The Titans would lose to Lewis Central of Council Bluffs 55-24 and Vinton-Shellsburg 42-35 before beating Ridge View 36-33. That put GTRA/ELC in the 5th Place Bracket where they beat East Buchanan in criteria after the teams tied at 30. They would follow that up with a 42-34 win against Valley of West Des Moines, giving the Titans 5th out of 12 teams.

The Titans would go to the Manson-Northwest Webster Invitational next where they didn’t roll out a full-strength lineup. Terra Swedin was 2nd at 110 with Moriah Reineke winning the 135lb weight class. Isabelle Harris was the winner at 140. Harper Manwarren gave GTRA/ELC a 2nd place finish in the 170lb weight class.

At a Triangular against Okoboji/HMS and Spencer, GTRA/ELC beat the Pioneers 42-36 and fell to the Tigers 36-24.

The Titans went to the Spencer Girls Wrestling Invitational next. Terra Swedin was 2nd at 110. Trista Guinn would finish 2nd in the 115lb weight class with Myla Fisher 3rd at 120. Addaley Girres was 3rd in the 125lb weight class. Isabelle Harris took gold at 140. For the Team Scores, GTRA/ELC would take 4th out of 14 teams, finishing behind Canton of South Dakota, Hinton/Sergeant Bluff-Luton, and Spencer.

At the Michelle Jensen Memorial Tournament, hosted by Humboldt, Terra Swedin took 1st in the 105lb weight class. Trista Guinn would finish 1st at 115 along with Myla Fisher also taking Gold in the 120lb weight class. Addaley Girres was also first place at 125 for the Titans. Moriah Reineke would take 2nd in the 130lb weight class and Isabelle Harris gave GTRA/ELC yet another gold at 140. Magnolia Malm brought home some hardware, taking 3rd in the 190lb weight class. GTRA/ELC was 2nd in the team scores out of 14 teams with 199 points, behind first place Humboldt.

For the Orab Girls Wrestling Invitational, hosted by Sheldon/South O’Brien, Alonah Rosacker took 2nd for the Titans at 100. It was Terra Swedin winning 105 and Jadin Naig placing 3rd in the 110lb weight class. Trista Guinn was the Gold Medalist at 115. Myla Fisher took 2nd in the 120lb weight class and Addaley Girres was the winner at 125. Moriah Reineke was 3rd at 130. Isabelle Harris was the first-place finish at 140lb. GTRA/ELC had a 2nd place finisher at 145 in Colleen Cook. Harper Manwarren took Gold at 170 for the Titans with Magnolia Malm finishing 2nd at 190. GTRA won the Tournament, their first time doing so over the course of the season with 223.5 points, dominantly ahead of 2nd place North of Sioux City by 60 points.

GTRA/ELC would go to a Dual Quad where they swept all three teams, beating Manson-Northwest Webster 46-21, Sioux Central 36-36 on Criteria, and also picking up a 42-42 win by Criteria against South Central Calhoun.

The Titans went to Ogden for their Tournament, one of the bigger showcases of the best teams in the State of Iowa for the regular season. Isabelle Harris was a Silver Medalist at 140, the only piece of hardware GTRA/ELC would take back north with them. 27 teams competed at this Tournament and GTRA/ELC was 9th.

In a Dual Triangular, the Titans lost to Sioux Central 40-27 and beat Spirit Lake/Park 36-30.

Next up is one of the best Conference Tournaments for Girls Wrestling in the State, the Lady Twin Lakes Conference Tournament, which GTRA/ELC was able to host. Terra Swedin was the winner at 105. Katherine Scott took 2nd in the 110lb weight class while Trista Guinn picked up Gold at 115. Myla Fisher was 2nd in the 120lb weight class. At 125, Addaley Girres won and Moriah Reineke was 2nd at 130. Isabelle Harris was the Conference Champion at 135. Braelyn Henaman would give GTRA/ELC silver in the 145lb weight class. Gracie Fuller was 3rd in the 155lb weight class and Harper Manwarren was 1st at 170. Magnolia Malm would finish 3rd at 190. GTRA/ELC claimed the Twin Lakes Conference Crown as a team with 204 points, clearing 2nd place South Central Calhoun by a whopping 54 points.

For the Regular Season finale, GTRA/ELC attended the Hinton/Sergeant Bluff-Luton Blackhawk Tournament. Terra Swedin finished 2nd in the 105lb weight class and Harper Manwarren was 3rd at 170. GTRA/ELC would finish 5th out of 20 competing teams with 107 points.

The Postseason began for the Titans in Hull at the IGHSAU 1A Region 7 Tournament hosted by Western Christian. Trista Guinn punched her ticket to the State Tournament with a first-place finish at 115. Myla Fisher finished 3rd in the 120lb weight Class. Addaley Girres took 2nd for the Titans at 125, and Isabelle Harris won the 135lb Regional Championship. Harper Manwarren also advanced to the State Tournament with a 1st place finish at 170. GTRA/ELC took 2nd with 190 points, behind the Regional Champion Central Lyon/George-Little Rock.

At the IGHSAU State Championships in Coralville’s Xstream Arena, The Titans brought 5 wrestlers. All 5 managed to score points for GTRA/ELC with Terra Swedin finishing 7th at 105. Trista Guinn would take 3rd in the 115lb weight class. The Titans ended up tying for 13th with Clear Lake at 43 points, missing the Top 10 by 11.

Two staples of this GTRA/ELC lineup, Isabelle Harris and Trista Guinn, each graduated in 2026, but 3 State Qualifiers return for the Titans in the 2026-2027 season.
