Arnolds Park, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Northwest Iowa Down Syndrome Society held its 20th annual Buddy Walk Sunday at Arnolds Park. President Kim Venteicher says the group offers EMOTIONAL support for families but CONCRETE help in the area schools.

While Arnolds Park Amusement Park Amusement Park and other corporate sponsors offer free amusement rides, Queen 2 rides, water, and Nutty Bars – the event is also the organization’s major fundraiser for the year.

A record 300 Down Syndrome families participated in Sunday’s Buddy Walk. The Northwest Iowa Down Syndrome Society covers Kossuth County to the South Dakota border, and Storm Lake to the Minnesota border.
