Milford, IA (Spencer Media Group) — Saturday evening nearly 600 people were in attendance for the 10th annual Black Tie Black Leather Affair Fundraiser for the Shayla Bee Fund.

Board Member Chuck Oppedal says this is the biggest fundraiser during the year for their organization:

In the last 9 years, more than 900,000 has been raised through the Black Tie Black Leather Affair event. Shayla Bee is now in their 19th year – the group has distributed more than $1.4 million dollars to 319 families.

Oppedal tells Northwest Iowa Now that everyone’s support – especially during this past year – has not gone unnoticed.

Shayla Bee co-founder Jerry Faulkner was in attendance to personally thank everyone for their support. The Black Tie Black Leather Affair was held at Okoboji Classic Cars in Milford.
