Sibley, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Sibley-Ocheyedan hosted their Cross Country Invitational on Tuesday at the Sibley Golf Course.

In the Girls race, Stella Riediger of Hinton won with a time of 21:01.43.  Okoboji’s Zoey Dodds was 7th, clocking 22:20.34.  Kylie Robinson of Sheldon was 10th with a time of 22:40.26.

For the girls team scores, George-Little Rock/Central Lyon won with 38 points, Hinton was 2nd at 54, and Western Christian of Hull scored 100 points to place 3rd.  Okoboji was 5th, Alta-Aurelia 6th, Sheldon 7th, and Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn finished 8th.

Ian Ten Napel of Western Christian of Hull won the boys race with a time of 16:31.44.  Taking 2nd was Sheldon’s Jayden Hegenbarth with a time of 16:51.27.  Also in the top 5 for Sheldon was Malakai Vermeer at 17:25.03, placing 5th.  In 6th was Okoboji’s JD Gravert at 18:05.28, followed by his teammate Tyson Fear with a time of 18:21.73.  Taking 8th was Sheldon’s Lewis Scheaffer with a time of 18:33.98.  Boone Cooper of Okoboji took 9th at 18:39.02.

In the Boys team scores, Western Christian of Hull won with 51 points, Okoboji was 2nd with 59, and Sheldon took 3rd with 62.  South O’Brien was 6th, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn 8th, Alta-Aurelia 10th, and Harris-Lake Park was 11th.
