Sioux Rapids, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Sioux Central hosted the Chris Smith Invitational at the Little Sioux Golf and Country Club in Sioux Rapids on Tuesday.
For the Girls Race, George-Little Rock’s Willa Klaassen won with a time of 20:09, hundredths of seconds in front of Sioux Central’s Sage Weber in 2nd. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn’s Viviana Delacruz was 6th, clocking 22:57.4 and Alta-Aurelia’s Bree Anderson was 10th at 23:54.
George-Little Rock won the Girls Team Title with 19, Sioux Central was 2nd at 60, and Alta-Aurelia was 3rd with 81 points.
In the Boys Race, Lucos Wernimont of Sioux Central won with a time of 16:37.3. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn’s Easton Teal was 5th at 18:22. Taking 6th was South O’Brien’s Landen Davenport, clocking 18:30.5, 3.4 seconds in front of Alta-Aurelia’s Ledger DeMuth in 7th. Finishing 9th was Sioux Central’s Colin Christians with a time of 18:51.7.
For the Boys team scores, George-Little Rock won with 63 points, Alta-Aurelia was 2nd with 80, and Boyer Valley took 3rd at 87. Sioux Central was 4th, South O’Brien 5th, and Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn took 6th.
