Arnolds Park, IA (KICD) — The city of Arnolds Park hopes to start construction on a new city complex next year.
Mayor Jim Hussong says the police and fire departments, library, and city offices are out of room, and research shows a new building is more feasible than renovations and additions onto the current structure.
Hussong tells KICD News the city can swing the project without bonding or borrowing.
The city of Arnolds Park owns the lots to the east of the current municipal center. The new building will sit on the northern border, with entrances facing south. The city has contracted with CMBA Architects of Spencer.
