SPENCER, IA (Northwestiowanow) – Mike Frantz is continuing his campaign in Spencer for Iowa Senate District 3.

Frantz says he has been knocking on doors since May and has visited 32 of the district’s 33 communities, knocking on more than 4,000 doors.

He says Spencer has stood out during his travels.

Frantz says conversations with residents have brought up similar concerns.

Having a background in higher education has influenced Frantz’s views on education, including his support for greater state involvement in funding preschool programs.

Iowa’s cancer rates have also been a large issue.

Iowa Senate District 3 includes Buena Vista, Osceola, and O’Brien Counties, along with portions of Clay and Cherokee Counties.

His goal is to finish knocking on doors in Spencer by the end of September before completing his door-to-door effort in Storm Lake.

Frantz will face incumbent Republican Lynn Evans in the November 3rd General Election.
