POCAHONTAS, IA (Northwestiowanow) – A traffic stop is leading to multiple violations, including a drug charge, for a Pocahontas man Sunday.

Deputies with the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office stopped a maroon Chevrolet Suburban in the 40000 block of 130th Avenue on September 27th.  The driver, identified as 41-year-old Christopher Allen Meyer, was arrested and charged with first-offense possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, and driving while his license was suspended, a simple misdemeanor.

Court records show Meyer was also cited for having an open container and failing to provide proof of financial liability.
