Spencer, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — While most of us merely get to enjoy the Clay County Fair, CEO Jason Brockshus has to watch the bottom line. He says running concerts on the first four consecutive nights instead of interspersed throughout the schedule saved some big productions dollars.

Brockshus tells KICD News moving the music and comedian to the second weekend might also make sense.

Brockshus says the rodeo and racing events at the Grandstand not only sell a lot of tickets but are weather-dependent than traditional acts.

The 2027 Clay County Fair runs September 11th through the 19th.
