Estherville, IA (northwestiowanow) — The City of Estherville has approved a contract of more than $1.15 million for the city’s River Recreation Enhancement Project.
The council approved the construction bid during Monday’s regular city council meeting.
City Administrator Penny Clayton says the project will make a number of improvements along the river corridor while also protecting city infrastructure.
The council also approved a property acquisition administrative plan required as part of a FEMA grant involving the acquisition and demolition of two floodplain properties.
Clayton also provided an update on construction of the Phillips Pavilion Project, saying work continues to remain on schedule.
The Phillips Pavilion Project is located at the former outdoor pool site, with completion currently projected for December 4th.
