Spencer, IA (northwestiowanow) — A reported high-speed pursuit through Spencer ended in a crash Wednesday.

Authorities allege that on October 7, shortly before noon, 21-year-old Brayden Dean Lindermann led law enforcement on a pursuit through the Grand Avenue corridor before crashing into another vehicle.

Available court and jail records do not provide details on what prompted the pursuit, how fast Lindermann was allegedly traveling, or whether anyone was injured in the collision.

Court records show Lindermann was charged with eluding while speeding more than 25 miles per hour over the posted speed limit, a Class D felony. He also faces charges of reckless driving, five counts of excessive speed for allegedly driving 21 miles per hour or more over the speed limit, failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way, and failure to obey a traffic control device.

Lindermann was booked into the Clay County Jail and was released later that afternoon.
