Spencer, IA (northwestiowanow) — People for Pets’ annual Petoberfest fundraiser will celebrate its 10th anniversary this Saturday.

The shelter’s largest fundraiser of the year will be held at Gary’s on the River on Saturday, October 17, from 5 to 9 p.m.

Shelter Director Jenna Schroer says organizers are making this year’s event especially memorable as Petoberfest reaches the 10-year milestone.

Live music will be provided by singer Jessica McClintock.

While the event serves as a celebration of the shelter’s work, Schroer says the fundraiser remains vital as animal shelters continue to face increasing challenges.

Tickets are $60 and include admission, a catered meal by Yesterday’s, and two drink tickets.

Attendance is limited to 150 people. Schroer says more than 100 tickets had already been sold.

Tickets will still be available at the door until the event reaches capacity.
