Spencer, IA (northwestiowanow) — Republican gubernatorial candidate Zach Lahn held a meet-and-greet in Clay County on Friday ahead of the November General Election.

The gathering was held at the Clay County Regional Events Center and gave residents an opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues facing northwest Iowa communities.

Lahn says Clay County is a great example of the potential of a rural community.

Lahn said events like Friday’s gathering not only help him share his ideas with voters but also allow him to better understand the concerns of local residents.

He says population decline is one of the largest challenges facing rural communities.

Zach Lahn will face Democratic candidate Rob Sand in Iowa’s General Election on November 3rd.
